Welcome to my blog. I am writing this in celebration of a tremendous accomplishment. We have elected President Barack Obama. Congratulations to all Americans. At last, we have awakened. We may have been the sleeping giant, but we have awakened with a mighty roar. We have cried out for peace and justice, equality for all. We have, in one day, let the world know that we care; that we will be forever partners with all humanity, working hand-in-hand across this globe to restore the ecological balance, end hunger, war and the spread of disease.
I am writing this blog after having run unsuccessfully for the DFL endorsement for Congress. It was a personal success in that I learned so much and am touched by having met so many wonderful people. I learned just how strongly I am called to serve the public during that experience. I treasure my opportunity to serve in the MN Senate, and I promise to maximize that opportunity by doing all that I can to represent you powerfully.
Please visit my blog regularly to share your vision for MN and our country and to hear about mine. The effectiveness of our political leaders depends on the strength and wisdom of our voice.
